We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
3.3 Business Transfers
If ABC Printing Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
3.4 With Your Consent
We may share your information for other purposes with your express consent.
4. Payment Information
All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, our PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. When you enter your payment card information at checkout, that data is transmitted directly to Stripe's servers using industry-standard TLS encryption. ABC Printing does not receive, process, or store your full credit card number, expiration date, or CVV code. We receive only a confirmation of the transaction, a truncated card identifier (e.g., last four digits), and the transaction amount. For details on how Stripe handles your payment data, please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
5. Customer Content and Uploaded Files
When you upload artwork, images, documents, or other files to the Site in connection with an order or quote request, those files are stored on our servers (hosted by Supabase). We use your uploaded files solely to fulfill your order, respond to your quote request, and provide the Services. We do not use your Customer Content for any purpose unrelated to your order or our business operations.
Files uploaded during the ordering process are initially stored in a temporary storage area. Upon successful payment, files are moved to persistent storage associated with your order. Files associated with abandoned or unpaid sessions may be automatically deleted after 30 days. Files associated with completed orders are retained as described in Section 7. You are responsible for maintaining your own backup copies of all original files.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
6.1 What We Use
| Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session Cookies | Authentication state, session management | Until browser is closed or session expires |
| Persistent Cookies | Remembering preferences and login status | Up to 12 months |
| localStorage | Shopping cart data, user preferences | Until manually cleared |
| Google Analytics Cookies | Site usage analytics, traffic measurement | Up to 24 months |
6.2 Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to refuse all cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when a cookie is being set. Please note that disabling cookies may impair certain features of the Site, including the shopping cart, authentication, and checkout functionality.
6.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and we do not currently respond to DNT signals. We will update this policy if a standard is established.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including:
- Account information: Retained for as long as your account is active. If your account is inactive for an extended period (12 months or more), we may contact you before deleting account data.
- Order records: Retained for at least 7 years for tax, accounting, and legal compliance purposes.
- Quote records: Retained for at least 3 years after the quote is closed (approved, rejected, or expired).
- Uploaded files: Files associated with completed orders are retained for up to 12 months after order completion to facilitate reprints and customer service. Files may be deleted after this period. Temporary files from abandoned sessions are deleted after 30 days.
- Usage and log data: Generally retained for up to 24 months for analytics and security purposes.
- Payment data: We do not retain payment card data. Transaction records (amounts, dates, confirmation IDs) are retained with order records.
When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize it in a manner designed to prevent unauthorized access or use.
8. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
- TLS/SSL encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and the Site.
- Secure API authentication for all server-side operations.
- Rate limiting on sensitive endpoints to prevent brute-force attacks and abuse.
- Input validation and sanitization to prevent injection attacks.
- Access controls limiting employee and system access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
- Security headers (X-Content-Type-Options, X-Frame-Options, X-XSS-Protection, Referrer-Policy) on all pages.
While we take security seriously and employ industry-standard practices, no method of transmission over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Site at your own risk.
